Windows 7 was released before windows 10. 7 was a huge upgrade from the ill- fated and hugely bugged windows vista and so it improved upon it with some new features.
Windows 10 meanwhile improved upon windows 8 which received a lukewarm reception as compared to windows 7. It introduced features such as Cortana which is a voice assistant for windows machines .
