Acetic acid or CH3COOH is one of the most popularly known carboxylic acid. Vinegars for example range from 3-4% acetic acid. Acetic acid is liquid.
Acetic acid can be used as a food preservative as it has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Glacial acetic acid is basically acetic acid that has very low water content such that in temperatures of about 16 degrees Celsius, glacial acetic acid takes a solid form.
