X linked inheritance is that which we get through the X chromosome and Y linked inheritance is that which we get through the Y chromosome.. if we talk abt a genetic disease like haemophilia or colour blindness, in both cases, chances are more for a male to get defected..

y linked inheritance is only for males and not for females.
