(i) XML stands for 'eXtensible Markup Language".

(ii) HTML stands for "Hypertext Markup Language".

(i) XML is case-sensitive language.

(ii) HTML is not case-sensitive language.

(i) There are no pre-defined tags in XML.

(ii) There are pre-defined tags in HTML.

(i) In XML, it is necessary/mandatory to close a tag.

(ii) In HTML, it is not necessary to close a tag.
