(b)Phloem transports food materials that are prepared by the green parts of theplants to other parts of the plant.

2(a).Xylem is the dead tissues at maturity, but no cell contents. 

(b)Phloem is theliving tissue, but not with the nucleus.

3(a)Xylem is present in roots, stems and leaves of the plant and it transports water and minerals from plant roots to aerial part.

(b)Thus, phloem, along with xylem, is foundinside stems, roots and leaves - surrounded by ground tissue.
