1. the fold mountains that have formed recently are known as young Fold mountains.
2. Examples:- (a)the Himalayas,(b)the Rockies and (c)the Andes.

Old fold mountains
1. the fold mountains that have formed earlier are known as old fold mountains.
2. Examples:- (a)the Urals, (b)the Tien Shan (c)the Appalachians, and (d)the Nan Shan.
