Algae produce nonmotile spore called aplanospores.
While other produced zoospores,which lack true cell walls and bear one or more flagella.
These flagella allows zoospores to swim to a favorable environment, whereas mono spores and aplanospore have to rally on passive transport by water current.

The main difference between zoospore and aplanospore is that zoospore is motile and can move with help of flagella and aplanospore is non motile ,they don't have flagella .they move by passive transport by water current
