  • No gaseous exchange takes place.

  • It is lined by Pseudostratified ciliated columnar glandular epithelium.

Features of respiratory tree as follows:-

  • It is less in diameter.

  • Absence of cartilaginous rings.

  • Dead space volume is also absent.

  • Also gaseous exchange takes place.

  • Lined by simple squamous epithelium.
