Differences:
.Bombay was more crowded than London.by 1872 when London had an average of 8 persons per houses ,the density in Bombay was as high as 20.
.In London transport problem was solved by the first underground railway in the world but in Bombay there is a local railway and no underground railway.
.In Bombay land reclamation of more land from sea took.while in London auburbs were developed to decongest the city.
.In London tenements and large blocks of apartments were the houses of Londoners but in Bombay people lived in chawls ,a multistoried structures and richer persons lived in spacious bungalows.
.there was no planned development in Bombay. for eg houses in the fort area which was heart of city were constructed here and there without any plan but i London suburb and an industrial area developed to the north of the fort settlement area with a similar suburb and cantonment in the south.
.Bombay was divided into two sections namely native town where most of indians lived and Europeans are white section.it developed racial differences where European enjoyed more facilities dn Indians whereas in London govt. made specially suburbs and green belt areas for migrants of londoners.
