myopia is a nearsightedness disorder and hypermetropia is a farsightedness disorder.

Myopia is near sightedness means the person can see near object but not the far object . This defect is solved by using bi-concave lens.
Hypermetropia is far sightedness means the person can see far object but not near object. This defect is solved by using bi-convex lens.
