diamond is hard but graphite is soft due to it's layered structure.
diamond can't conduct electricity but graphite can .
diamond have high melting point than graphite.
in diamond carbon has sp3 hybrid. whereas in graphite it's sp2

Diamond is very hard and shiny. Graphite is soft compared to it and is dull. Diamond has a very high melting point and graphite has low melting point.
