In prokaryotic cells, the true nucleus is absent, moreover, membrane-bound organelles are present only in eukaryotic cells. Other majordifferences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells are that prokaryotic cells are exclusively unicellular, while the same does not apply for eukaryotic cells.
