We know that when there are 2 same signs in a sum then we add the numbers  

So, - 4 and -6 are same signs of subtraction so we will change the both same signs into + addition and then we will add both the numbers 4 and 6

= 4+6

= 10

No the signs every time we see the signs of the larger number and the larger number is 6 and the signs of 6 is + addition

So , in the answer before 10 we will put + addition

= +10
