Difference table between micromolecules and macromolecules

Macromolecules are defined as molecules being composed by about >1000 atoms.

These might be either organic molecules (proteins, DNA, etc..) or natural/synthetic polymers.

The term “micromolecules” is only used in biochemistry to indicate fatty acids, amino acids, proteins tec. of low molecular weight.
