Echo is the bouncing back of sound from a hard and fast object at a certain distance.

Reverberation is the multiple reflection of sound in a hall caused due to overlapping of sound waves.

If we shout or clap, near a tall building or a hill, we will hear the same sound back in a little time. This is called an echo.
A sound created in a big hall will persist by repeated reflections from the walls until it's reduced to a value where it is no longer in the audible range of human hearing. This phenomenon is called reverberation.
