Ballistic missile follows a ballistic trajectory ( an arc like trajectory) while Cruise missile are able to fly on a non-ballistic, extremely low-altitude trajectory. Ballistic missiles are much harder to intercept than cruise missile due to much shorter time available. It can strike a 10,000 km range target in 30 to 35 minutes.
