Distance:-

  1. it is a Longest distance between initial point to final point.
  2. it is Scalar quantity.
  3. it never decrease with time.
  4. it is always equal to or greater than displacement.

Displacement:-

  1. it is the shortest distance between initial and final point.
  2. it is a vector quantity.
  3. it decreases with time.
  4. it is always equal to or smaller than distance.
