j.j thomson describe that atom is like a christmas pudding the seeds in the pudding are electrons ( negatively charge particle) and the other remaining red part of pudding are proton (positively charge particles)...

rutherford describe the structre of atom by using scattering alpha particles by a gold foil .

rutherford s observation was

1 -most of the fast moving a- particles passed straight through the gold foil.

2- some of the a - particles were deflected by the small angles.

3 -surprisingly one out of every 12000 particles appeared to rebound.

...so hey mate this is the difference between rutherford and thomsons model of an atom ...

so pls mate for this answer pls pls pls mark me brainlist and pls pls pls follow me pls ....!!
