Oxysomes are the structures which are present on the surface of the folded Inner Membrane of the Mitochondria. They are also called f0-f1 particles or ATP synthase. They play the most important role in the formation of energy for the functioning of the cell.

Peroxysomes are the independent cell organelles which are single membrane bound and they break hydrogen peroxide(into H2O and O2) which is a strong oxidizing agent. Therefore, its breakdown is important as it may oxidize the cell organelles.
