print means you are asking the printer to make a hard copy of the data that you want to get printed on the paper and that you have selected after confirming it as you wish to get printed in the (print) preview.
So, the difference between print and print preview is , print is the actual "View" or the hard copy of the data ,you want to get printed ,whereas ,print preview ,is only the preview (as the name suggests) of the print you want on the paper (to get printed) and make it a hard copy.
obviously, print preview can be changed (according to the wish) ,but, print cannot be changed ,unless and until you once again ,make a print preview and convert it into a print or a hard copy.
