pungi-it is an instrument which was played by barber in Royal residence.
it gives a shrill and unpleasent sound ..
after that it was banned to play pungi
shehnai-
it is just an upgraded version of pungi...
it is made of wood....and is played in subcontinent India...

Sehnai has a better tonal quality than pungi. It a natural hollow stem pipe with holes on its body and is longer and broader than the pungi. Shehnai is, in a way, an improvement upon the pungi.
