Font-weight is where you decide how thick the strokes of the letters are going to be.
Font-style is where you decide whether the text is going to be italics, oblique (faux italics), or neither of these (i.e. roman or normal).
So for font-weight the values could be light, normal, bold, black, or 100-900 etc., and for font-style it could be italic, oblique, normal.
