The only difference between ahurricane, a cyclone, and a typhoon isthe location where the storm occurs.Hurricanes, cyclones, and typhoonsare all the same weather phenomenon; we just use different names for these storms in different places. In theAtlantic and Northeast Pacific, theterm “hurricane” is used.

Answer:

They are all the same thing: tropical storms. In the North Atlantic Ocean and Northeast Pacific, they are called hurricanes. But if the same type of disturbance takes place in the Northwest Pacific Ocean, it is known as a typhoon. And in the South Pacific and Indian Ocean, cyclone is the correct term.

The only difference between a hurricane and a typhoon is the location where the storm occurs. In the North Atlantic, central North Pacific, and eastern North Pacific, the term hurricane is used. The same type of disturbance in the Northwest Pacific is called a typhoon.
