Luminous flames are normally orange, while Non-luminous flames are normally blue and quite difficult to spot from afar. The colour of orange in the flame is basically the black-body emission of hot particles of soot in the flame, which make it glow like the filament of the light bulb. In the case of the Non-luminous flames, the blueish colour is the result as there are no particles of soot to give that orange glow. the blue is from the emission of the high energy C2 molecules

Hope this helps you...................

Answer:

my friend the correct answer is

While a luminous flame burns yellow, a non-luminous flame burns blue; this is because of the difference in available levels of oxygen. Luminous flames have limited access to oxygen, while non-luminous flames have unlimited access to oxygen.
