keep all the solutions stable for sometime and observe.

if the particles settle down then the mixture is heterogenous or else homogenous

filter the solutions one by one  through filter papers

note whether any residue is left or not

pass a beam of light through the solutions

observe whether light scatters or not.

in soda water

paticles do not settle down

no residue is left

beam of light does not get scattered

it is a true solution

in case of milk

particles do not settle down

it is a colloid

in case of muddy water

particles settle down

residue (mud) is left
