Barriers to cross cultural communication.
- Language Barriers :
One of the common barriers to cross-cultural communication is language. Though English is regarded as the standard international language of business, not every business globally uses English on a regular basis.
- Cultural Barriers:
Every culture has a different set of business values and ethics, accepted behaviour and etiquette.
- Presentation style:
Culture influences people in different countries to prefer how they want to receive information. For example, English people like presentations to be lively and interactive. However, in eastern European countries, the presentation is meant to be formal, and questions are answered at the end of a presentation.
