Triangles, quadrilateral,circle,etc are examples of closed curves. The shape which is not closed by line segments or a curve is called an open curve . Aclosed curve which does not cross itself is called a simple closed curve . The curve which crosses itself is not asimple closed curve.

Hey there here is your answer..

A curve itself but if it is not a closed one is simply called a simple curve.
A closed curve, for best example - circle. A curve which closes itself is called a curved curve.
