In direct current (DC), the electric charge (current) only flows in one direction. Electric charge in alternating current (AC), on the other hand, changes direction periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction.

hey mate...
AC
1) it is a current whose magnitude changes at every instance and polarity reverses periodically
2) frequency in India is 50 Hz
3) it can be easily transmitted to long distances without much wastage of energy
4) it can be easily stepped up or down by using Transformers
5) it can be converted into DC by using electronic current
DC
1) it is a constant current having single polarity
2) frequency is zero
3) lots of energy gets wasted while transmission
4) it cannot be stepped up or down
5) it can be converted into AC by using investors
hope it helps☺☺❤❤
