Answer:

DC Generator:

1. DC generator generates Direct Current.

2. It has Commutator, split rings and brushes

3. It has less output voltage and frequency.

4. It needs high maintenance

5. It is less efficient in transmitting energy for long distance

AC Generator:

1. AC generator generates Alternate Current.

2. It has no Commutator but has brushes and slip rings.

3. It has higher output voltage and frequency compared to DC generator.

4. It needs less maintenance

5. It is highly efficient in transmitting energy for long distance.

These are the major differences.

Hope they help you !!

☺️Good evening ☺️

Explanation:

☑️In a DC generator, we connect the ends of the coil to a commutator consisting of two, half rings of copper.

☑️In AC generator,we connect the two ends of the coil to two full rings of copper called slip rings.
