An acute disease lasts for just a short time but can begin rapidly and have intense symptoms.

A chronic disease is persistent. It lasts for a long period of time and might recur.

Develop in a short time.

Develop over time instead of having a sudden onset.

Cold, influenza, Cholera, Typhoid, strep throat, cough, etc.

Cancer, Heart disease, kidney disease, Tuberculosis, Arthritis, Diabetes, etc.

An acute disease is one which comes rapidly and can be dangerous.

It cover very soon, not have enough time to cause major effects on general health.

Example :- Common cold, strep throat etc.

Chronic disease :-

A chronic disease is one that last for a longer period of time.

It is treated in a long time and causes prolonged general poor health.

Example :- Elephatiasis, Cancer etc.
