addition reaction is the reaction in which one or more substance is added. ex H,Br etc.
whereas substitution reaction is the reaction in which one hydrogen atom is replaced by any other atom such as Cl,Br,or iodine
addition reaction occurs in unsaturated hydrocarbons
whereas substitution reaction occurs in saturated hydrocarbons.
