Antibiotics are secreted by microorganisms in order to kill or prevent pathogens inside the body.

antibiotics work by affecting things that bacterial cell have but human cell don't .. for example human cell do not have cell wall, while many types of bacteria do .the antibiotics penicillin works by keeping a bacterium form building a cell wall.
