For Starters Arthropods and Molluscs are in two completely different phyla. Which means that there are enough differences between the two that they can be placed in two different groups i.e Phyla.  Here are a few major differences between the two phyla(groups)  The body of arthropods is segmented into Head ,Thorax and Abdomen (there are a few exceptions) but in Molluscs the body is Unsegmented but there is a distinct Head,Visceral Hump and Muscular Foot. Arthro - means Jointed…Poda means Appendages. Therefore it is clear that Arthropods have jointed appendages whereas Molluscs do not have jointed appendages. Arthropods have a Chitinous exoskeleton while Molluscs have a calcareous exoskeleton (if present). Most Arthropods undergo Ecdysis/Moulting but molluscs do not undergo ecdysis. Ecdysis is the phenomenon of shedding the chitinous exoskeleton at regular intervals by Arthropods. Arthropods respire using gills, book gills, book lungs and tracheal system. Molluscs respire using Ctenidia. Arthrops have Antennae, Simple and Compound Eyes and Statocysts as Sensory Organs.Molluscs have Sensory Tentacles in the anterior head region instead of antennae and also have Osphradium in addition to the sensory structures of arthropods. Osphradium is a sensory structure which tests the chemical nature of water. Excretory structures in arthropods are Malphigian Tubules and are Uricotelic organisms (mostly). Molluscs have Organ of Bojanus and Kebers Gland as excretory structures and are Ureotelic organisms. These are the differences that came to me as soon as I saw the question…there are a lot more differences but hopefully this was useful
