Protozoan organisms are also single cell organisms that have a nucleus and are further developed than bacteria. They find homes in our bodies occasionally but are acquired by drinking unsanitary water, or through spread by a vector like a mosquito or tick. The protozoan will set up shop offer by attaching to hosts cells in humans, and caused disease by releasing bacteria or viruses they carry.
