different between conservatism and nationalism

Explanation:

Conservatism is more firmly rooted in Nationalism than Liberalism, but the nuance is in the degrees of Nationalistic beliefs. When it comes to politics, we live in a gray world. Unfortunately, disingenuous or ignorant people will attempt to make these things black and white, when they are far from that.

There are degrees to Nationalism, just like any political beliefs. Some nationalism is good, too much nationalism can be bad. Nationalism is the view that ones only country (or nation) is ideal in many ways. Unfortunately, this view can often lead to pride and belligerence when it comes to other countries, and could lead to conflict. Similarly, like throughout the 19th century, Nationalism helped many people in the world achieve independence for their people, which was

good.

In our world today, I personally feel that people in the Western World are not being nationalistic enough, and it’s causing problems. The reasoning for this is that there were 2 world wars and that Nationalism played a large role in both of those conflicts. However, just as too much nationalism can lead to problems, too much individualism, Left-Wing “intellectualism,” and decadence can also lead to problems. Many in the Western World are feeling this way as well, which is why we are having an explosion of Far-Right movements.
