1. though it is named as grassland but it is live land is totally covered up of ice
2. trees are dried here due to heavy snow and cold

Differentiate between evergreen forests and grasslands:

Evergreen forests:

The plants that are evergreen are said so because they have a property of shedding leaves and regrowing them throughout the year and the forest and the forest that has more number of these types of plants are known as evergreen forest.  

The Tropical rainforest are a type of Evergreen forest which have greenery throughout the year.

Grasslands:

Grasslands are considered as the lands which have affinity for grass growth.

There are different types of grasses found in grasslands, which may vary in height from very short to very tall.

African Savanna, and antartica are some  of the examples that come under grasslands.
