Different between first and second generation of computer

First Generation :-

1.) Vacuum tubes were used as internal components.

2.) The sizes of computer were very huge called mainframes.

3.) They were low speed computer

4.) Main memory was in the form of magnetic drum.

5.) Punched card and magnetic tape was used.

Second Generation :-

1.) Transistors were used as internal component.

2.) The sizes of computer were smaller than first generation & were called as mini computer.

3.) They were 10 times faster than first generation computer.

4.) Main memory was in the form RAM and ROM.

5.) Magnetic tape was used.
