Hi friend,
Fjords and fijards are similar in that they are a glacially formed , but they still diffiar in some ways.
1) Fjords are charactarized by steep high relief cliffs curved by glacial activity and often have split or branching channels.
On other hand, fijards are glacial depression or velly that has much lower relief than a fjord.
2) Fjards filled with eroded with local materials which is assists filling along with rising sea level .
On the other hand , fjords low relief landforms that are only assosiated with fjards such as mud flats flood planis etc...i hope its helps you
