Regeneration is both a method of asexual reproduction also a feature in some organisms. For example in hydra the body breaks into parts and each part developes into a new organism . In the case of feature such as in lizard if its tail breaks it is able to regenerate it ,here it is not reproduction but an adaptation. Hope it is helpful
