Gametogenesis is the process by which sex cells are formed, male sex cells( spermatocytes) and female sex cells(Oocytes) are formed by the spermatogenesis and Oogenesis which are divisions of gametogenesis. Gametogenesis occurs in the sex organs of both parties. A zygote is formed after fertilization which is the fusion of both male and female sex cells.
Embryogenesis is the process by which a zygote is transformed to an embryo(juvenile stage of the organism). Embryogemesis usually takes place only in the female body.It includes the processes of
Cleavage
Gastrulation
Neurulation
Organogenesis
Examples of gametogenesis are sperm cells and Ovum, plant spores are also formed by gametogenesis.
Examples of embryogenesis includes all juvenile lifeforms right before been birthed or hatched.
