It occupies 15 percent of the total land of Nepal

It has cold climate.

Bhote, Sherpa, Lepcha,etc live on Himalayan region.

The mountain region in Nepal varies in altitude from 3300 m- 8848 m

Terai

It occupies 17 percent of the total land of Nepal

It has hot climate.

Chamar, Dhimal,  Musahar mostly live on Terai region..

The Terai region in Nepal varies in altitude from 60 m-610 m.
