The main difference between boiling point and melting point is that the melting point is defined as the temperature at which solid and liquid phases are in equilibrium, whereas the boiling point is the temperature at which the vapour pressure of a liquid is equal to the external pressure.

Answer:

Melting point : Melting point of an object means that the temperature at which it starts to melt i.e, it starts to change its state of matter from solid to liquid is known as the melting point of that object.

For example : Wax do melt, ghee melt and many others.

Boiling point : Boiling point of an object refers to that  temperature at which it starts to boil i.e, it starts to changes its state of matter from liquid to gaseous is known as boiling point of that object.

For example : Water boils , alcohol boils and many more.

Explanation:

For much better understanding,

if we take ice and heat it with the fire then it will melt first (after 0°C) and after melting it came to its liquid form and when it reaches 100°C then it starts to boil.

Therefore we can conclude from the above context that the melting point is refer to change from solid to liquid and boiling point refer to the change from liquid to gaseous.
