8) Metal react with oxygen to produce metal oxides and hydrogen gas.
9) Metal react with water to produce metal hydroxide which are basis in nature.
10) Metal are lustrous.

NON METAL

1) Non metal have not shinning surface.
2) Non metal have not generally hard.
3) Non metal have not ductile and malleability.
4) Non metal have not high melting.
5) Non metal have not good conductor of electricity.
6) Non metal are good oxidizing agent.
7) Non metal combine among themselves forming covalent compounds.
8) Non metal react with oxygen to produce non metallic oxides which is acidic in nature.
9) Non metal react do not react with water.
10) Non metal are not lustrous.
