Heya!!
Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement of solvent molecules through a selectively permeable membrane into a region of higher solute concentration, in the direction that tends to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides.
Diffusion is the net movement of molecules or atoms from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration as a result of random motion of the molecules or atoms.
Hope it helps.

Osmosis is a passive process which requires a semipermable membrane...Diffusion is also a passive process, which doesnot require any special membrane...high concentration to low concentration movement is seen in diffusion...Low concentration to high conc movement is seen in osmosis
