Differences between parasite and saprotroph are as follows :

☆ PARASITE

  1. The organism that grow on the body of another organism and derive nutrients from it is known as a parasite.
  2. They take the readymade food from the host.
  3. They directly feed on living organisms for their nutrition.
  4. Examples :- Cuscuta and Orchids.

SAPROTROPH

  1. The organism that obtain nutrients from the dead or decaying organic matter is called saprotroph.
  2. They take the digested and decayed food.
  3. They feed on dead and decaying organism.
  4. Examples :- Somd fungi and Bacteria.
