Perennial rivers are rivers that exhibit a continuous flow of water throughout the year (except during drought) whereas non-perennial rivers that have a break in the flow of water forĀ at least some time of the year.

eg:ganga
the rivers which dry up and are seasonal are called non perennial rivers
eg:godavari
