        Political Executive

  • Political executives are those who are elected by the  people by the means of electoral voting.

  • As they are elected by the people they are Answerable to the people .

  • They can occupy the office for a specific period of time and needs to be re-elected to retain their post.

  • They are powerful as they make the final decisions.

  • MPs, MLAs , ministers etc are people who belongs to political executive .

Permanent Executive

  • Permanent executive are salaried government servants .

  • They are answerable to the people as they are not elected by them.

  • They can occupy the office until a specific age , in which they become pensioners.

  • They are less powerful and assists the political executive  in the process of decision making.

  • All the government officials come under the category of permanent executive.
