different between reflection and refraction
Answers
refraction - ( in physics ) the change in the direction of a wave passing from one medium to another.
Answer:-
Reflection :- It is the phenomenon of bouncing back of light rays in to same medium after striking from surface is called reflection.
Laws of reflection :-
Basically, there are two laws of reflection :-
1) The angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection.
2) The incident rays, reflected rays and the normal all lies in the same plane.
Refraction :- The phenomenon of bending of light rays when it passes from rarer to denser medium is called refraction.
Laws of refraction :-
There are also two laws of refraction:-
1) The incident ray, refracted and the normal at the point of Incidence all lies in the same plane.
2) The ratio of sine of angle of incidence to the sine of angle of refraction is constant for any two given pair of media.
where is the refractive index of medium second with respect to first.
