Different between regular and diffused reflections

i.When the reflecting surface is smooth and well polished the day of light that falls on it is reflected evenly. This is called regular reflection.

ii. When an object is placed in front of a surface that reflects light in this way images can be seen.

i.When the reflecting surface is rough and uneven the light that falls on it is diffused in all directions.This is called irregular or diffused reflection.

ii.No image can be seen when we place an object in front of the surface that reflects light in this way.
