A right is something we not only afford ourselves, but afford everyone equally.
If you have a plate of food that you intend on eating you have a right to eat it. You aquired that plate of food on your own accord, your hungry, it looks and smells delicious, its yours.
A stranger walks up and claims that he is hungrier than you, and in desperate need of your plate of food, it should be his.
